Inaugural Annual Bike Hash Quadripartite in JB

The invitation from across the Causeway has come! The running hashes have been ‘doing it’ for over twenty years but 2010 will be the first time ever it has been done on a bike – done what they all cried? Quadripartite - that’s what! (what the hell is that they further cried??).

The gathering of four hash clubs to host a cross border hash on an annual rotational basis. The Inaugural Annual Bike Hash Quadripartite will take place on Saturday 2nd October at 3 o’clock from the Water Tank, Ulu Tiram, Johore (directions to follow). Hosted by JB Bike Hash and supported by Kajang Bike Hash and Seramban Bike Hash, SBH are the fourth part making the Quadripartite complete. Please see the invitation from Moh Man Tai (former SBH member and current Johore exile).

To accommodate this momentous occasion SBH will not have a ride on Sunday the 3rd October but instead will ride the Quadripartite Hash the day before (see the revised hareline). Please note that there is a registration requirement. The registration form is here and the Google map here. Please mark your diaries, apply for your leave, polish your bike and get you SBH kit ready – we’re going to Johore!

Mountain Biking in Georgia

This is a new mountain bike guiding and touring service in the Republic of Georgia. 'Georiders' offers mountain bike guided trips into the legendary Caucasus mountains. Georgia is a small country of only 4 million inhabitants and yet boasts some of the most ancient history on earth, the most diverse natural environment (in the top 12 biodiversity hotspots in the world), and bigger, grander mountains than the Alps with peaks above 5000m. Our guides are Georgian. They have spent years scouring the terrain to discover the best routes, combining fine mountain biking with the highlights of cultural travel experiences and legendary Georgian hospitality. What drives us is the dream of the perfect ride and we think that ride exists here, in Georgia. If you are interesting in receiving more information please don't hesitate to visit the website.

Thanks! Andy Welch and David Chokheli of Georiders

Cycle Indonesia Trips

Thank you for your past support for Cycle Indonesia trips. Since January 2009 we’ve run 4 cycle adventures for over 40 riders on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi.

In the coming year we plan to run four more trips (South Sulawesi, Toraja Land and Central Sulawesi).
These trips are led by a bilingual, bicultural Australian.

They feature cultural immersion, language instruction, Yoga and lots of water activity.

Once again, thanks for your help.
